ZLIDE — touch follows form
ZLIDE is a proof of concept user interface for software applications such as Lightroom, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Hudini and many more. The idea is based on the fact that all these programs run by controlling innumerous values on sliders with just one mouse pointer. We are now all too familiar with touchscreens and yet we simply have not found the right way to use all these functions in a professional desktop environment.
This is where ZLIDE comes into action. A tactile touchscreen cover suddenly guides up to 5 fingers to operate 5 values (e.g. hue, contrast, sharpness, saturation and exposure ) simultaneously. The cursor never has to leave the content again, which in turn saves time, is less constraining and provides a never before seen visual interaction with content.
